Acupuncture

Dr Bassett has been performing acupuncture since 2000. He is a member of the British Medical Acupuncture Society.

At the Sketty & Killay Medical Partnership, Wales’ largest medical practice, Dr Bassett set up a weekly acupuncture clinic, successfully treating hundreds of patients.

ShapeCYMRU offers acupuncture for a range of medical problems, from muscular problems to smoking cessation.

Dr Bassett uses single-insertion ultra-fine Seirin needles, and incoroprates moxibustion when required.

Whiplash, arthritis, migraine and morning sickness are areas of speciality.

Acupuncture is accumulating a broad and deep base of scientific evidence for its effectiveness, but is not generally available as an NHS treatment.
