FACE Off - ShapeCYMRU still number one for Cellulite in Wales

Saturday, June 28th, 2008

I was at the FACE conference yesterday at the Royal College of Physicians.

Syneron confirmed that ShapeCYMRU is still the first and only cosmetic and cellulite clinic in Wales to offer Velashape.

I’m delighted to continue to offer this amazing technology exclusively in South Wales.

Only Velashape impresses Harper’s Bazaar

Thursday, June 26th, 2008

Harper’s Bazaar beauty editor, Newby Hands, describes her experience of Velashape in the July 1st issue:

“It’s quick, relatively pain-free (it gets a bit hot) and takes just six weekly sessions to make any bottom, stomach, thighs or arms beachworthy; it’s the only treatment course that impressed me.”

We agree!

Velashape is exclusively availabe in Wales at our Swansea city-centre clinic.

Cellulite Wales

Thursday, June 26th, 2008

I’d be very interested to receive comments on what the women of Wales have done so far to treat their cellulite.

My cosmetic and cellulite clinic is the only one in Wales to offer Velashape, an inceredible new treatment for cellulite and FDA approved for inch-loss.

I’ve been astonished by the results we’ve seen in the first six months of treatments.

Check out the RESULTS tab on this website - I’m surely you’ll be equally impressed. We’re currently exclusively offering Velashape at less than HALF London prices.

Have you heard of Velashape? What have your results been like with other treatments - Endermologie, Mesotherapy etc.?

Let me know, and browse my info and the links on Velashape - it really seems to have cracked the cellulite scourge for the ladies we’ve treated.

Evolence a Breeze for lip enhancement

Thursday, June 26th, 2008

Evolence, a fanulous collagen product that I’ve used extensively for facial volumisation has now been approved for use in lip augmentation.

The technique is exactly the same as the one we’ve used for some time for Restylane, so confident treatment is assured.

After a recent masterclass with Dr Bob Khanna, President of the IAAFA, of which I am a member,  I was keen to start working with Evolence Breeze on lips.

There’s virtually no swelling or bruising with Evolence Breeze, the results are longer lasting and the effects instantaneous. It’s a beautiful, flexible and resilient product with which to contour lips, cheeks, noses and jawlines.

Results with patients so far treated are fabulous.

Dr Marina Landau has written a very informative article on the details of Evolence Breeze as a lip enhancer.

The Evolence web site has some very impressive before and after pictures.

If you’ve heard bad things about lips, come and discuss this new treatment, which really is state of the art and solves problems with older treatments.

I’m proud to be using the latest products and techniques - Velashape, Refirme and  Evolence.

But the old faithfuls  never let me down - botox and skin peels will remain firm favourites for a long, long time.

SA1 is a big place!

Thursday, June 26th, 2008

I was asked today by a headhunter to move to SA1; I declined.

For starters, we’re already in SA1.

Secondly, I’m always cautious of hype, preferring to work with the tried and tested. In the cosmetic world, there’s always a lot of hype around, but I believe that at ShapeCYMRU, we’re using the best techniques and products, some of which are new, like our cellulite technology Velashape, and facial tightener Refirme, but most of which are safe and established.

Which brings me to my final reason……

Paul Jackson and Chris Berry are well and truly established. They run a fabulous salon, have a devoted clientele, and their staff provide phenomenal, personalised, attentive care.

And, they’re in SA1.

Client or patient?

Friday, June 6th, 2008

I’ve just analysed the results from an interesting survey. I asked my clients/patients which term they preferred - client or patient? Surprisingly, the majority prefer the term patient. This is surprising as the overwhelming trend in recent years has been towards use of the term client, with doctors fearing that the term patient implies a relationship of power imbalance, patriacharcal institutionalised medical hierarchies and dependence.

Some guys at the BMJ got very upset about this a few years ago; “Do we need a new word for patients?”

Not so say my patients. They see the word patient as an indicator of a relationship of trust, confidence and caring.

I’m pleased about that, because it sits much better with the ethos I want to create at ShapeCYMRU.

Thanks to the many who responded to my e-questionnaire.

International Academy of Advanced Facial Aesthetics

Monday, June 2nd, 2008

I was honoured to be recently awarded membership of the International Academy of Advanced Facial Aesthetics.

I have previously trained with the IAAFA President, Dr Bob Khanna, who was a fabulous teacher of ingenious techniques with an equally ingenious product, Evolence.

Following Dr Khanna’s lead, I now use Evolence as my preferred product for facial volumisation - the best treatment for nasolabial folds, marionette lines and facial recontouring.

Evolence is available now at my Swansea salon, ShapeCYMRU.
