SKIN PEELS
Skin peels are used to remove unhealthy surface skin, allowing new, healthier cells to regenerate.
ShapeCYMRU uses peels in preference to LASERs - they’re quicker, safer and cheaper, and have been around for a lot longer, with established results.
At your initial free consultation, Dr Bassett will discuss which type of peel is best suited to your needs and your skin. Peels not only produce dazzlingly refreshed skin, they can treat acne damaged skin, sun-damage, pigmentation changes and excessive oiliness. We can treat your hands and neck as well as your face.
As a straightforward guide, there are two types of peel which suit most of our patients.
GLYCOLIC (FRUIT) ACID PEELS
NeoStrata
The NeoStrata products we use are very gentle, and produce no redness or visible skin shedding. You can get straight on with your life, especially the part that involves applying make-up.

TCA PEELS
Easy TCA is a stronger product for deeper skin problems. We will perform a detailed assessment to advise you on which peel you need.

Generally, a peel is applied once weekly for four weeks. All peels are performed by Dr Bassett personally, and comprehensive after care information is provided. Sunblock is needed, and ShapeCYMRU can recommend or provide the best product for your skin.
